Recognizing your skills & titles

Following your arrival in Greece, sometimes it is like you have left a part of your work identity behind. Assessment, recognition, and accreditation of your degree is a part of regaining your work identity. There are different procedures for you to follow and it depends on the level of education that you have completed; whether you have completed your studies or not; hold your degrees and qualifications or have lost them.

In Greece there are three pathways that are related to the degrees that you hold, or to studies that you started in your home country, but you never completed.

With regards to titles that you hold from your country of origin there are two institutions in Greece that could help you accredit your degree. The Greek D.O.A.T.A.P. is referred to graduates from Higher Education, whereas the E.O.P.P.E.P. institution is referred to vocational training graduates. Below, you can find the universities and the departments that are recognised by the Greek D.O.A.T.A.P.

If you have lost your qualifications or have not completed your studies, you can follow the European Qualification Passport for Refugees (EQPR) procedure as Greece is one of the participating countries in the project. EQPR assesses the qualifications of refugees and asylum seekers who are resided in Greece and have at least attended one year of studies in Higher Education in a Third Country.

In this part you will be informed about the procedure about each one of the abovementioned pathways needed to be followed and which the prerequisites are required to apply.
